Shunting device MU
is designed to move in both directions of railway wagons and trains on passage or dead-end tracks of loading points and other purposes during shunting operations at temperatures from -35 to +35 °C in conditions that do not require special protection from dust, as well as in non-aggressive and non-explosive environments.Electric shunting devices MU-6, MU-12 and MU-25 consist of a winch with a friction pulley, electrical equipment, a system of blocks (cargo, bypass support), and a working element, depending on the design.
The operation of the shunting device is carried out as follows: at the operator’s command, his assistant manually places a hook on the carriage bracket, attached to a traction rope, which is wound on a winch drum and brought out through traction and deflection rollers to the axis of the railway track. The rope moves the cars in one direction or another.
The maneuvering device MU-6, MU-12, MU-25 is supplied in three versions of the working body: with a trolley with push rollers, with a trolley with an automatic coupler and a hook. In the version of the shunting device with an automatic coupler, the circuit can operate automatically and be controlled by one person, which in itself increases the safety of shunting operations.
